Force Plate

Software

Screening software records the digital balance platform information and analyzes, stores, and shows the results. The screener contain a series of tests designed to assess the patient’s ability to maintain balance while standing:
  • Ability to maintain balance on a hard level surface (normal stability, Firm Surface)
  • Ability to maintain balance on a soft surface (Perturbed Stability, Foam Surface)
  • Maximum movement in the sagittal and lateral directions (Limits of Stability)
This software allows the clinician to increase or decrease the difficulty and select the tests and their order to tailor the assessment to the patients’ abilities and needs.

Determines whether balance disorders are central nervous system (CNS) or labyrinth-related

Evaluates eye movements as they follow a moving target, with the head positioned in different directions

Tests the superior and posterior semi-circular canals through active head rotation

Tests differentiate and substantiate results from initial PAS screening

Evaluates inner ear responses to warm and cold air. Changes in temperature stimulate inner ear and cause eye movements then detects patient’s ability to suppress these eye movements
